The Human Spirit

The Human Spirit -

What makes you human?  Is it the form you see when you look in the mirror?  Is it a body, with a mind and a consciousness and the ability to think and feel?

Today I would like you to consider that what makes you human has nothing to do with the body you inhabit.  The body is a convenient and familiar package.  It was also designed to be able to handle an energy system comprised of seven chakras, or energy centers.  These seven chakras allow the prototype that the Human Spirit inhabits to function extremely well in the world while still maintaining a Spiritual connection.

And that indeed is what the human part of you really is – your Human Spirit.  A Human Spirit has the capacity for love, compassion, generosity, growth and creation.

Would you still be human, if you didn’t live in the body anymore?  I certainly believe so.  In an old Star Treck episode there were some human beings who lost their bodies through a series of catastrophies and so they transferred their consciousnesses to round spheres.  Once inhabited, the spheres glowed with their indwelling Human Spirits and their capacity for love, compassion, generosity, growth and creation continued unhampered.  Of course the Human Spirit also possesses the capacity to choose things like selfishness and anger, but what sets us apart is our POTENTIAL for all the higher vibrational experiences once we choose them.

It may seem trivial today, but at some point in the future this understanding is going to be very relevant.  Once you know yourself as Spirit, first and foremost, you will be able to reclaim a lot of the power that you lost when the body devolved in vibration many eons ago and went from a 12 strand dna model to the double helix we know today.  Since we have always identified so strongly with the bodies we inhabit, we felt diminished when that deactivation took place.  Once you know yourself as Spirit you can continue the ongoing process of reactivating the dna strands one by one.  Whether you know it or not you are already in this process – - -your growing spiritual awareness is a definite indicator of this.

The Human Spirit is a beautiful thing.  It is capable of learning and growing and assimilating new information – it is capable of participating in the upcoming ‘ascension’ or upliftment of consciousness.  During this upliftment the body gets to go along if we honor it and treat it well.

What Is To Be?

What Is To Be? -

I have been around for a while – long enough to raise a family and now I am watching them raise families of their own.  I have been here long enough to know better. 

Here are a few observations on life I have gathered:

When one is young, life is all about what is coming.The excitement comes from the planning and the thinking and the dreaming.  You are going to go to school and graduate and get a job and meet someone special.  You will have a family and a home and a dog and a car – or you will be free and travel and create and explore – or you will do something wonderful and notable.  You are excited because of what will be.

Then you arrive at the implementation stage of life and quite possibly you get to actually live your dreams and enjoy the job or the travel or the family or the freedom or the creation.

Sometimes you get to the implementation stage of life and your dreams do not come true, so you become disillusioned and numb or disheartened and sad.

Either way, at some point you find youself back at the beginning.  You need a dream  – you need to be excited about what will be.  I offer today that what will be is so far beyond our understanding that we cannot even imagine it.  We have been given hints, though.  The Bible says that all tears will be wiped away.  The metaphysicians say we will be living in a new higher vibration of joy.  I hope for each and every one of you that you can look inside and find your eternal Spirit.  That Spirit is young and excited about what will come, and rightly so.  The best is yet to be.

Solar Eclipse of July 11, 2010

This will be a big one – even though we won’t see it in the northern hemisphere we will feel its effects.  Coupled with intense heat, this massive energy jolt is going to put two paths clearly in your way.  You can be irritated, reactionary and downright miserable – OR – you can breathe, remind yourself that ascension means change, and be your very best self in spite of anything or anybody.  As an ascended being you will be required to act from kindness, love and integrity at all times.  Might as well start practicing now.

The Sponge Theory

The Sponge Theory -

We are in for a summer of change.  Higher vibrational energies have begun to hit this planet like never before.  They are even going to be intensifying throughout the next several years.  These energies may make some people feel irritated, unsettled, or frightened.  The same magnetic, solar and gravitational energies may make others feel excited and full of life.  These waves of energy also trigger intense heat and cold, hurricanes, volcanoes and often when people get aggitated, civil unrest.  There are two ways to deal with these waves.  You can brace yourselves, hold on to old ways of being and doing, and become very rigid – OR – you can become light and flexible and just bend and flow with the changes.

Another way to look at this is by examining a sponge.  If a sponge is new and fresh and moist you can squeeze it and stomp on it and throw it, and it will still be just fine.  If a sponge is old and dried out you can actually break it apart and damage it.  It’s also pretty useless.  So how do you become like a new moist sponge, able to absorb all the shock waves that may be hitting the planet, this summer and for the next several years?

The answer is to fill yourself with light.  You know what people mean when they tell someone to lighten up, to become less rigid, to go with the flow and maybe not take themselves so seriously. 
That is what we are talking about here.  Light is also love.  It is love of self and love of your fellow man.  To become lighter you also have to release your heavy ‘stuff’ – you know what that is:  your fears, and your frustrations and all the rest.

It’s pretty hard to lighten up when you think that what you see is all there is to life.  Therefore, another important consideration in becoming a lighter person is increasing and widening your vision.  It becomes essential at some point to look at this life as only one experience your soul has chosen.  Your soul has experienced many others in the past and will have many more experiences in the future.  Since this is the experience your soul has chosen for NOW, it would appear to make sense to look and listen as much as possible. It would serve you to become an observer of your life to see what it is you can learn and use the next time around, in addition to seeing what you brought in with the intention of transmuting this time around.

It will also serve you to remember that all these changes are taking us to a better place.

You’ve heard this before – and you’ll hear it a lot more in the next 2-l/2 years – but we are at the threshold of a giant leap in human consciousness and there is a great division going on right now.  If you like, you can call it the separation of the sponges.  Which kind of sponge are you?

Freedom

We will be celebrating our nation’s freedom soon.  Brave men and women with a vision stood up for what they believed in:  that all people everywhere had the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?  How do you think we have done with that?  Are people everywhere honored equally?  Does everyone feel free to follow their hearts?  Do you know how to find your happiness, peace, and greatest joy?

In spite of our best intentions some people have risen to positions of power and affluence, and not always by honoring their fellow man.  Some people have been used and abused, and not necessarily through any fault of their own.  We live in a country of great opportunity but also greed, inequality and great inconsistency.

It has been said that evil grows when men of good will do nothing.  Often this is because the good men didn’t know what to do and felt powerless in the face of adversity.  When you are a peaceful person, how do you stand against evil when evil has weapons and doesn’t care who gets hurt as long as it’s not them?  In truth the bullies of the world have ruled for eons of time.

I meet people everyday who believe that since that is the way it has always been, then that is the way it will always be.  They aren’t ready to make the huge spiritual leap to some ‘strange’ esoteric knowledge:  that this is a NEW DAY.  We can do things a NEW WAY.

If you search history, however, you will realize that life has always come in cycles.  We had the stone age, and the iron age – the communication age and the information age.  There WILL be a next cycle. Since all cycles have risen above their predecessors, this coming age will be no different.  We will rise up once again.  Since we are coming out of  the information age, we have acquired the ability to understand what is coming.  This coming new age will carry a new higher vibration – and this time our revolution will be spiritual.  As each of us finds our own inner spiritual strength and we learn to come together, the bullies of the world will be out of business.

You send out vibrations with every thought and feeling you have.  If those vibrations are loving, hopeful and full of faith, they will find and unite with other like vibrations and gain strength in this new age.  The bullies of the world have fed on your vibrations of fear, hate, and doubt.  You have the opportunity to take away their food and thereby take away their power.

When you celebrate the Fourth of July this year, I hope you celebrate your power to change the world through the love that you carry in your heart and send out to all humanity.
